First we would like to thank all who enjoyed the beach and riverfront this past Saturday to help keep our beautiful state clean. We are blessed as Oregonians to live in nature as we do.
We were honored to join the 5,500 volunteers who came together at 147 projects statewide, removing 28,000 pounds of trash from beaches, rivers, parks and natural areas.
Since the start of the Beach & Riverside Cleanup, over 1.7 million pounds of litter has been removed by over 130,000 volunteers. This year, Oregonians came out in full force, increasing the positive impact.
There are still opportunities to get involved with projects taking place through Saturday, September 28.
